I don’t believe in multi- tasking, but multi-purposing…now there’s a time saver. I am preparing for a trade show this week-end and the theme is managing your to- dos. I needed an activity to keep visitors at my table, so I created a quiz for them to take. Whats’ the three-fer (three-for-one)? The hours spent on this quiz are being used for my TLC Home Newsletter and this Blog, as well as a draw-in activity for the October Fest event. Now that’s getting something done! I also used my delegating skills and had my daughter write the Rate Your Score

Three day weekends are the bomb! The extra day makes all the difference. We can catch up on household demands and spend time with family and friends. There is also time to deal with something that has been nagging at us or time to get ahead. In our household, Labor Day weekend was all about the do-over. The first week of school went pretty well, but tweaking and streamlining was the order of that holiday weekend. Free time with my husband, Andy, fills in what’s left. To spend good time with kids in the summer, I’ve found mid-week dinner-out to be a great time for fun and relaxing conversation. Everyone seems less anxious to be moving onto the next thing. Last night, dinner was pizza and salad at George’s, a favorite nearby Greek restaurant. Pizza out is just better than at home. We talk while waiting to be served. At
