Richer, Smarter and Better Looking

Is it too early to talk holiday gift giving?

Nope, not if you want to avoid stress and enjoy the festivities. Here’s another tip: If, when you ask someone what they want for Christmas, they answer, “I want to be richer, smarter and better looking,” call me, because that’s just what I do! Here’s how:

Richer

Good organizational systems help you get richer by creating less waste. How much food are you throwing away from your refrigerator each month from lack of planning? How many expired items are in your pantry? How much money are you spending eating out? Yikes…that really adds up!

“Crisis’ purchases related to disorganization could cost as much as 15 to 20 percent of your annual budget-buying duplicates of misplaced or broken items, last-minute shopping at premium prices, and unnecessary interest, rush, and finance charges on late payments,” says the American Demographics Society…Ouch!

Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket because you were running late? Or hired a service professional for something you could have done yourself, but didn’t have the time? Have you ever found clothes with the tags still on in an overstuffed closet?

I don’t have a statistic for this, but I’m willing to bet the cost of doctor visits, medication and alternative wellness therapies related to stress beat out everything I’ve mentioned…Choosing disorganization is an expensive financial decision.

Smarter

Good organization makes us more efficient, which gives us more time. How does having more time make us smarter? Start with kids …if they are more organized they get assignments done, study for their tests, have more time for reading and research, etc…sooo they learn more.

That’s true with adults in their business… they have more time to devote to learning their trade, learning to market, they can be smarter compared to their competitors…right? Learn more skills… you have more knowledge….you’re smarter.

This is also true with adults in the home.  Adhering to efficient systems reduces time spent on menial decision making and reduces the disruption of brain clutter, increasing our clarity and focus.

Better looking

Having good organizational systems can help you be better looking in several ways. By reducing wasteful spending, you have more time and money in your pocket to purchase what you need to make you look your best and get yourself a salon or gym. An organized closet can simplify putting together better outfits. You also have additional time to do hair, make up, and grooming.

When you reduce stress  you smile more and have less worry lines or frowns. Most importantly, when you are organized it shows in your overall countenance. An organized person  feels good about themselves and attacks a day with confidence. That looks great!
